Frequently asked questions about our balsa
What is the minimum order?
One full container: 20', 40' or 40' HC. We do not sell single units, loose pallets or samples.
Which sheet thicknesses do you make?
Standard thicknesses of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20 and 25 mm, and any in-between size in 0.5 mm steps, always sanded to gauge on both faces. Widths 25 to 100 mm and lengths 203 to 1219 mm.
What products do you make?
Balsa sheets (1 mm – 4" thick), sticks (1" – 4" per side) and glued blocks (4" – 8" × 24" × 8" – 48"). All kiln-dried and density-graded.
Which densities do you offer?
Four grades: lightweight, standard, heavy and extra heavy. Blocks from 85 to 288 kg/m³; sticks from 5 to 20 lb/ft³. Every piece is weighed and graded.
Can I order custom sizes?
Yes, within each product's range, in inches or millimetres. If you need something outside the range, write to us and we will check.
Is the wood dry?
Yes. Controlled artificial drying down to 8 – 12 % moisture, stable on arrival in dry or humid climates.
Do you have phytosanitary certification?
Yes. Our products are certified pest-free by Agrocalidad and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries of Ecuador.
How do I get a quote?
Configure the products on the website and send the list by WhatsApp, email or the form, or write directly to info@ecubalsheet.com with sizes, density and number of containers.
What shipping terms do you offer?
FOB Guayaquil or CIF to your destination port. The factory is in Durán-Yaguachi, minutes from the port of Guayaquil.
Which countries do you export to?
Worldwide: North America, Europe and Asia are our main destinations.
